2002 Pheasant Hunting
Lemmer Farms
Redfield, South Dakota
Nice birds guys......who'd you buy em from?
Back row: Dave Lenneman, Henry Tate, Dan Weller & Steve Merrill. Front row: Dan Krieger and Brad Curtis.

On October 31st, 2002 this rough bunch of sharpshooters set out from the great state of Michigan on their quest to conquer the mighty Chinese Ringneck Pheasants in Redfield, South Dakota. The picture above shows that they were successful in their quest to knock a couple of birds out of the sky. This was taken after the hunt on Friday, November 8th during which they killed 7 birds and scared quite a few more with near-misses. These guys were accompanied on the trip by a pair of English Setters of Steve and his wife Menita's -- Ralph and Jack. Another addition to the hunt was Pepsi, a rather large and energetic yellow lab owned by Sara Lemmer.

Throughout the days of the hunt, these guys were joined by various other hunters. Doug Lemmer (with Nestle), Scott Muyres (and Cody), Jim Gasper and Dan Weller's son
Matt Weller hunted with the crew from time to time.

On the following pages you will find pictures taken during the hunt by Matt. You'll have to ask the guys for the stories (or at least their versions of them) that go along with the hunt.
