Snow Globe Tutorial
This tutorial isnt for animated globes.
(The animation above was made by Nalani)

Attached you will find four snow globe tubes.
Two are round and two are sort of oval in shape.
Below are the instructions on how to use them.
First, bring up a New Image by clicking on FILE and then NEW.
Make it Transparent as shown below, 300 x 300 is a good size to use.
Then click on OK.

Next open the tube. Below you will see the New Image and the Tube.
Click anywhere on the Tube so it's highlighted. (On my PC it's Teal)
Go up to EDIT and click on COPY.
Then click on the New Image, go to EDIT and click on PASTE.
Paste the tube to the center of the New Image.

Below is how your New Image should now look,
the broken lines should be blinking, leave them blinking.
Note: If at any time you need to,
you can UNDO a step by going up to EDIT and UNDO.

Now bring up the graphic you want to use to fill in the globe.
Click back on the New Image and then
click on the FLOOD FILL as shown below.

Then click on the TOGGLE CONTROL PALETTE as shown below.

This box will then come up on your screen. Click on OPTIONS.

Make sure FILL STYLE is PATTERN.
Under new pattern source, find the graphic you are wanting to paste,
choose it as shown, then click OK.

Using the FLOOD FILL, click on the center of the Globe and your
picture should be pasted in as shown below. Leave the lines blinking.

Now, to give it a rounder appearance,
I used Eye Candy Filter and the Inner Bevel as shown below.

And here are the results:

Now if you have the SNOW filter effect, here is how you add SNOW.
The filter I used is called UNPLUGGED EFFECTS.
Here is the link for UNPLUGGED EFFECTS...

About UnPlugged

First you want to section off the area you want to fill with snow.
I use the FREEHAND tool, or ROPE tool as most of us call it.
Show below.

Using this tool, go around the globe as shown, leave it blinking.

Below is the filter I used:

And here if the finished globe.
