Ginger Bear Cookies
(Instructional Fair, Primary Whole Language Theme Unit, Bears, Grades 1-2, p. 37)

Sift together:
10 cups flour
4 cups sugar
4 teaspoons baking soda
4 teaspoons cinnamon
4 teaspoons ginger

Cream together:
2 cups shortening
4 eggs beaten
2 cups molasses

Add flour mixture to creamed mixture.  Chill.  Divide into balls.  Use dough like clay and roll in to desired shape.  (Makes 24 bears)  Add raisins and bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes.  Enjoy!
Beary Delicious Shake

1 cup milk
1/2 banana
1/2 cup berries (I like blueberries)

Mix in blender.  Pour into a cup or glass and enjoy!
(Makes about 3 servings)
