Recipe for Christmas Dough Ornaments Ingredients: 4 cups all purpose flour 1 cup salt Directions: Preheat oven to 325 degrees Mix flour and salt well. Gradually add water, stirring well. Finish mixing with hands until soft and pliable. Roll out on a lightly floured surface. Use cookie cutters to cut into shapes and then make a hole for hanging using a toothpick. Bake at 325 until hard, about 30 minutes to 1 hour. Cool and then ornaments are ready to be painted. I use tempera or poster paints usually. After paint dries, spray with a clear varnish to preserve. After this dries you may thread ribbon through the hole for hanging! |
