Below you will find a link to scenes near either end of Macbeth -- Act 1.2 and Act 5.8. I have highlighted the sections I want you to focus on with numbers (1), (2),(3), (4), and (5)(but obviously feel free to read the entire scene). Numbers (1) and (2) are from Act 1.2, the others from the later scene. For (1) and (2) consider what the basic action is. When we first hear of Macbeth, what is he doing?
