Mobile Suit Description:
Built for land combat and specialization in desert terrain, the four-legged BACOW is a distinctive, however effective, mobile suit. Its quadrupedal design allows for greater distribution of weight over a larger area, thus allowing the BACOW to fight in the desert sands without having its 70 metric tons of mass sinking into it. The BACOW is also equipped with tank-like treads that can be folded down allowng the BACOW to traverse any flat terrain faster. The BACOW can be equipped with a variety of back-mounted weapons, ranging from cannons to missile launchers. Where the BACOW lacks is close combat since the MS is devoid of arms, although a mouth-mounted beam saber can be added to give the BACOW some melee capability.

cannons - The main armament of the BACOW are twin electromagnetic cannons mounted on the MS back. The cannons can be rotated 70 degrees to either side and elevated to a maximum of 45 degrees. Firing either ballistic or explosive shells at great speed, these cannons can be used for direct or support fire to the battlefield.
missile launcher - A replacement for the dual cannons, this launcher has thirteen tubes with one missile per tube. The missile is surface-to-surface with a HE-type warhead. Good for all anti-ground armor purposes.
Optional Mounted Armament:
beam saber - Mounted in the MS "mouth," this beam saber is a dual-emitter, with a blade at each end. Power is supplied from the main MS battery and power cords are run from the torso to the head, exposed only at the unarmored neck area. Since the BACOW lacks arms the beam saber isn't very effective in CQB and is meant more for defense than offensive.
