George moved into Philip Sallonīs tiny attic flat in Alma Square in smart St John's Wood which Philip's parents bought him years before in the vain hope that their eccentric son would leave home. But Philip hated the flat. For George, however, the flat was ideal. He shared it with a friend of Phillip's called Richard who worked on a fashion stall in the King's Road, finding it a relief to go home to someone totally uninvolved with the business of music.
