Miniature Mules
By classification, any mule under the height of 50" at the withers is actually a miniature mule.  The term Pony Mule is more of a colloquial term, and not used in the registries.  Not all miniature mules are out of pony mares or Miniature Horse mares, but most are.  People are more familiar with the Shetland-type mini mule, or the under-36"-mini type, but some "pony" mules are perfect specimins in miniature!
Paper Tiger - 48 3/4" tall.  Most people think he's a hinny , but his parents are known - he's a small mule.  (Dark dapple lineback palomino)

Marguerite Browns mini "Muley" (bay miniature mule colt)
The distinct yellow winter coat with a darker head mean this little mule should shed out to be a nice silver dapple in summer coat.  The yellowish winter and foal coats are typical of both the grulla (grullo) and silver dapple coats, but a grulla foal would have had a darker head, mane and tail.
