Polish
Costumes

The world-wide popularity of Folk Dancing has been instrumental in preserving  the beauty and history of Polish costumes.  History of the Polish Dances, the home page of The Syrena Polish Folk Dance Ensemble, Inc., of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, includes a comprehensive history of the dances and descriptions and histories of some of the regional costumes.

Polish Folk Costumes,  a book by Christopher Majka and Sheilagh Hunt, highlights  the most interesting  folk costumes.  It also discusses how Polish history and the culture of other nationalities influenced the development of the beautiful regional attire
