Why am I Alive?
Allah made humans for only one thing: to choose to serve him. He could have made us like the Angels who have to obey and never go against His Commands. But He wanted to make a creature that would choose to love Him. Isn’t it more important that someone likes to be around you, rather than having to be around you?
Allah could also have made us like the Jinn, who can go all over the universe and can be good or bad, but they can’t see any beauty in the creation of Allah. They just live and do whatever they do.
People can love Allah or forget Him. They can obey Allah or not listen to His Commands. They can be the best creatures in the universe or the worst. Allah said that He made us to be the best. The only thing is that if we don’t try to be the best, we might go down to being the worst.
[103: 1-3]
We have a lot of responsibility on our shoulders. Our short time on earth is a test for each and every one of us. We are born, we grow up and then we die. In that time, we learn about good and bad, we hear about Allah in one way or another, and we use our brains to think about life and what it means.
If we chose by ourselves to be good, believe in Allah and live by Islam, then we passed the test. After our bodies die, our soul inside of us gets released into the real world, the other world. Then we will be let into the most fabulous place of all: Paradise. We will never die and we will never feel sad or unhappy there.
But if we let ourselves do bad things, forget about Allah and reject Islam, then we failed the test, and in the other world, our souls will be sent to a place to be punished. That terrible place is Hell-fire. Why do we deserve to be punished? Because Allah gave us a mind to think and all the proof in the world to believe in Him but we chose to follow bad ways. Lets try real hard to pass the test of this life and avoid Hell-fire.
