I Am John my bio 01 Jan 04Another year over And a new one just begun I hope you have fun The near and the dear one The old and the young And a happy New Year Let's hope it's a good one Without any fear "from John Lennon's; The War is Over" This page has its beginnings in all the days of my past, This page is being written on 01 Jan 04 Before I begin, Happy New Year everyone, To all the surfers by who visit by chance To my friends past and present Family, near and far To all my loved ones, now and then... Today marks the start of a New Year I have always taken a wee bit of time at this point To review the past year 2003, was a good year for me and mine I have many wonderful memories to cherish I saw wee John in Jan, probably for the last time, But not knowing that - we had a wonderful week-end I told him I loved him, he replied with the same, I was there for my second granddaughter being born There, as I saw my daughter become a Mom again I love you Gina I wrote and passed Nursing exams "thanks Mom and Dad" I am now a Registered Practical Nurse, and enjoying myself working in the field on the weekends I was given another chance at being single As my partner left my life and moved on to greener pastures I smiled, as my x-wife came to support me in court This past autumn I took courses at St Lawrence College I am near completion of a Management Certificate offered by Seneca College In Dec I started a couple courses at the Royal Military College here in Kingston I quit smoking on 29 Oct and am doing very good this time But most of all, I spent a lot of last year re-discovering myself, emerging as the man I was all those years ago, emerging as a better person, happier with myself, by myself. I wrote a lot last year, I wrote of my feelings, My feelings change from time to time Regrets I once stated are not regrets as I write now The confusion I expressed has cleared up All the love I felt remains The forgiveness I was striving for has been attained The peace I needed and wanted - is mine I stand here on 01 Jan 04 And look back at 2003 as a year of triumphs I look forward to 2004 as another year of success I have a number of goals, Places I want to see, People I will meet again, Education to continue, I will continue to improve (like a fine wine) I will be happy with me and mine But most of all, right now, I want to wish you every success in the New Year I wish for you, everything you wish for yourself Be happy Be at peace with yourself Be the best you, you can be ...
