Gravitation Review
The Manga
Gravitation is a beautiful piece of work brought to us by Maki

Murakami.  The story is  a romantic comedy evolving around

Suichi Shindou, the genki  lead singer in the band Bad

Luck, and Eeri Yuki the cold and mysterious romantic

novelist that fangirls go crazy for.  Even if you aren't a big yoai

fan like myself you will like this story because it's

just so funny.  Gravitation is a 12 volume manga that isn't

quite finished yet atleast not in the United Sates.  Through

these twelve volumes you end up feeling as if

you have known the characters a life time because their

character development in my opinion is nearly flawless.

Gravitation is truly a classic manga that I think everyone

should atleast check out.  You get all the tid bits that aren't

found in the anime series and OAV and that's always a good

thing.
The Overview
Suichi is the talented lead singer of the rising band Bad

Luck.  Every since he was a young boy Suichi always

wanted to start his own band and was determined to be like

his idol Ryuichi from the band Nittle Grasper.  With the help

of his friend Hiroshi Nakano who plays the guitar and

Suguru Hujisaki who's on keyboard they get a gig and their

rise to fame begins.  This is what all three of them wanted

their whole lives but with the price of rising fame comes

minor complications. As Suguru deals with surpassing his

highly famous relative Tohma Seguchi and Hiroshi deals

with a complicated love life, Suichi tries to pull together

lyrics to songs while  surpassing Ryuichi and proving a

blonde haired novelist wrong.  This novelist the famous

romantic novelist Eeri Yuki and Suichi is after him with a

vengence.  After Yuki insults Suich about his "crappy" lyrics

Suichi is determined to prove the novelist wrong and

inserts himself in Yuki's life to prove him wrong.  As the fight

to prove himself to Yuki unfolds so does his true feelings

for the writer.  Some type of attraction draws Suichi to Yuki

and vice versa but Suichi is unsure about these feelings.

These two end up being very fond of each other in a weird

way as if it was almost like gravity was pushing them together.
The Anime
The anime series is a complete phenomenum.  Every since

it was released there has been a growing number of

Gravitation fans.  You can see why because the art work is

totally gorgeous.  The characters come to life and seeing the

thirteen episode story unfold through the voice actors is

amazing.  The only bad side to the anime is it's way to short

but a lot happens in those thriteen episodes though.  There

is also an OAV available and you can currently buy

Gravitation in English as well but ofcourse I prefer subtitles.
