SCHOOL YEARS

Every day I walked to school
Like a zombie, like a fool.
We played ball at the wall -
I was clumsy, I was tall.
Sometimes I won & I was boss
My face turned red when I scored a loss
But I didn't mind if I had a friend
Who was in the game until the end;
I'd cheer him on, cheer him off -
Yeah man, you can do it.

        All we've gotta do, all we've gotta do
        All we've gotta do, is just do it.
        All we've gotta do, all we've gotta do
        All we've gotta do, is get thru it.

In class I'd try to concentrate -
My attention span was second rate;
I'd think about my parents fighting
Unless we did creative writing.
For sport I got a good report
But I couldn't figure maths no matter how I fought.
In geography I was always lost
English was what I liked the most.
In history I was history
Woodwork didn't work for me
Economics made no sense
In science, I was the experiment
But yeah man, I'll endure it.

        All I've gotta do, all I've gotta do
        All I've gotta do, is just do it.
        All I've gotta do, all I've gotta do
        All I've gotta do, is get thru it.
