NAPOLEONIC BATTLEFIELD COMMANDER
are a Grand Tactical set of rules by George Street and John Binmore based on Grande Arnee and Fast Play Grande Armee rules written by Sam Mustafa
See www.sammusatafa.com

Our rules have been significantly revised from Sam's rules, but still maintain emphasis on trying to reproduce the problems a player would face with as an Army Commander.. We have reduced the scale of Sam's rules by a third which allows historical or hypothetical large battles to be fought on 4x5 ft table, little more than the size of a dinning table, using 6mm figures on 5x5cm bases, which represent a brigade.  30cm = 1 mile.

The player is reliant on his Division or Corps Generals correctly carrying out his orders. The  ability of a player to micro manage the battle is limited. It is assumed the Brigade commander will adopt the formation appropriate to their situation and once they get close to the enemy the Brigadier may have his own ideas about how he will act.

CURRENT DEMO GAME
Our current Bicentenary 6mm Demo Game is the French v Spanish Battle of Bailen (Baylen) 19 July 1808. This resulted in a Spanish victory when the French were caught between two Spanish armies. We use the historical OB and set up, but can players overturn history to achieve a French victory!

We will shortly be updating our website with down-loadable OB and label sheets

WAGRAM 1809 Bicentenary
We are planning a big bicentenary 6mm game date and location to be fixed in Berkshire or Wiltshire during 2009. If you are interested in taking part please email us.
