| LYMAN EPHRAM ORCUTT (JACOB, CYRUS, JACOB) was born May, 1860 in N.Y. and died August 16, 1938 in Dunkirk, N.Y. He married SUSAN ESTHER BOWERS between 1889 and 1891. She was born Nov. 1875 in Clayton Co. Iowa and died July 03, 1958 in Yamhill Co., Oregon. . |
| More about LYMAN ORCUTT: Lyman, also seen as E. Lymon on his grave marker, is first found in the 1870 census living with his parents and appears to be listed as Ezra L., age 10. In 1880, he is living with his grandmother Cloracy? (Smith) Bumpas in Wheeler Co., Nebraska. By 1900, Lyman had joined Jacob and several of his brothers in Grant Twp., Cerro Gordo Co., Iowa. In the 1895 State Census, his wife Susan and son Paul were living in Storey Co. Iowa, but Lyman was not with the family. By 1915, Lyman had returned to Charlotte Twp., Chaut. Co., N.Y. and was attending Orcutt family functions in the area. Lyman is buried in the Charlotte Center Cemetery along with many other descendants of Cyrus. Son Paul returned to Cerro Gordo Co., Iowa between 1925 and 1926. Note: The date of birth on the gravemarker is 1861 which is an error. Also, the spelling of his name appears to be wrong. More about SUSAN BOWERS:: Moved to Oregon to live with daughter Isabelle after the death of Lyman. Her death record lists her husband as Ephraim. |
