The missing story is a different and in my opinion a better understanding to the introduction of the series also known as Operation Meteor. Within this version you'll see the reaction that Quatre's father gave when the young Winner heir left for earth, Heero's mission before Operation M, a settle meaning behind the events shown the first opening to the show and much more. I am putting down the text found in the book, unfortunately I don't have a scaner nor a place to send you so you can see the actual panels. But this is all I can offer for now so I hope it is to your liking.

Narrator: With expectations, human beings left Earth to begin a new life in space clonies.

{Shuttle flying towards a colony.}

Relena: {stares out the window.} "..."

Scene 1 Heero Yuy

Narrator: On this day, Vice Foreign Minister Darlian arrived in the L1 colonies to attend the Fifth Colony Summit...

Relena: "..."

Heero: {Stands on the roof of a nearby building and observes the Foreign Minister through a pair of binoculars.}

***Flashback***

Dr. J: "This could be your final mission..."

Dr. J: "The Barton Foundation think Darlian's gotten wind of Operation M. They're planning to assassinate him.

Heero: "So?"

Dr. J: You have three choices. One is to cooperate with the Barton Foundation and kill Minister Darlian... ...Another is to obstruct the Barton Foundation and protect Minister Darlian... ...Or you can just ingnore the whole thing..."

Dr. J: "That's up to you..."

***End Flashback***

Heero: "So which should I choose?"

Heero: "..."

Heero: {Takes a small glance outwards through the wire fence.} "Do as my heart tells me, huh?"

Relena: {Looks up at the roof of the nearby building and spots the boy.} "?"

Heero: {Quickly moves his hand in front of his face.} "..."

Scene 2 Duo

{Shuttle craft races to outrun the Alliance and gets shot.}

Pilot #1: "Thruster system's been hit!"

Pilot #1: "Vernier output down 40%!"

Duo: "What now?! We can't get the Alliance off our backs!"

Professor G: "..."

Duo: "Hey, Gramps! I said, we're gonna get caught!"

Professor G: "It's no good... Let's abandon ship."

Duo: "Huh!"

Professor G: "... Come with me."

Duo: "Where are we going?!"

Professor G: "To the Deathscythe."

Duo: "The Deathscythe?! I told you, I'm not doing Operation Meteor!"

Professor G: "It can't be helped. Now we must join with the Barton Foundation."

Duo: "Hmph! And now we commit mass murder...?"

{The shuttle craft continues to fall downwards.}

Scene 3 Trowa Barton

{Inside the hanger where the macanics are working on Heavyarms.}

Doktor S: "Hey... was it you who did the magnet coating for the drive system?"

Trowa: {Nods.}

Doktor S: "It was perfect... Where'd you learn the technique?"

Trowa: "..." {Walks off.}

Doktor S: {Watches Trowa's retreating body.} "Heh, he's strange one..."

Trowa: {Works on Heavyarms.}

Real Trowa: "Hey, No-Name. I'll show you something I've never shown anyone."

Real Trowa: {Places his arms around "No-Name" and shows him a picture.} "Her name is Mariemaia, and she's my sister's daughter."

Real Trowa: "I thought she died with my sister at colony X18999, but they found her. She's gonna be the leader of Earth after we conquer it."

{Scene changes and shows the outside of one of the colonies in the L4 cluster.}

Mr. Winner: "We don't believe that Mobile Suits are necessary."

Scene 4 Quatre Raberba Winner

Mr. Winner: "We're seeking a solution by talking with the Alliance. People can barely survive in space. A war is impossible... and pointless, wouldn't you think?"

Instructor H: "You're quite right. If everyone in the Earth Sphere were like you, I wouldn't be making weapons..."

Mr. Winner: {Watches Instrutor H leave.} "..."

Quatre: "Wait!"

Instructor H: "What is it?"

Quatre: "There's a resource satellite that's about to be abandoned. You can continue your work there without OZ or the Alliance finding you."

Instructor H: "And why are you telling me this?"

Quatre: "Somebody has to fight, or this war will never end... That's why."

Instructor H: "And you will you be that somebody?"

Quatre: "If I'm able... I... want to be proud of myself."

Instructor H: "The light in your eyes... hasn't changed since that day..."

Quatre: "..."

Instructor H: {Smiles.} "Take me there."

Quatre: "Okay."

Scene 5 Chang WuFei

WuFei: "Master O... I'll ask you once more."

Master O: "..."

WuFei: "For what purpose did you create Nataku?"

Master O: "..."

WuFei: "To drop this colony onto Earth?!" {Grabs the scientist by the jacket and brings him down to eye level.} "You made Nataku for that?! How could you?! Did you think I'd accept that?!"

Master O: "The Great Master has agreed to Operation Meteor."

WuFei: "Ridiculous! I can't let my Nataku do such a thing."

Master O: "... It's not Nataku... It's the Shenlong. Maybe it's time you forgot Nataku..."

WuFei: {Eyes widened with rage, lets go of the coat and punches the man with no respect for the dead in the stomach.}

Master O: {Falls to his knees holding his stomach.} "...!"

WuFei: "Forget? I dare you to say that again!"

Master O: "..."

WuFei: "You are no longer my master... I'll show you I can fight with Nataku alone!"

Scene 6 Relena and Heero

{Snow falls as Relena walks through the ruins of a building.}

Relena: "So it snows in the colonies too..."

Relena: {Stops in her tracks as a small teddy bear catches her eye. She kneels down before and dusts off the white powder from the top of the toy's head then looks at it sadly.} "..."

{Not too far from her stood Heero, who was standing in front of two stones that seemed to represent a headstone and place a floor before it.}

Heero: "..." {Cocks a gun that he had and pointed it to his head.} "Mission completed." {Eyes widened when someone started to talk to him.}

Dr. J: "...New job for you. We've decided to launch Operation Meteor."

Heero: "..."

Dr. J: "You have three choices. One is to pilot the Gundam and massacre the people of the colonies. Another is to kill me and run away someplace... And third..."

Heero: "The third?"

Dr. J: "..."

Scene 7 Doctor J

***Flashback***

Lab Guy: "Doctor, look at this."

Dr. J: "A self-destruct device..."

Lab Guy: "It seems to be linked to the Wing Gundam's self-destruct system."

Dr. J: "What was that boy thinking?"

Lab Guy: "What should we do?"

Dr. J: "Change the Gundam's detonation frequency. Then the space suit will misfire too."

***End Flashback***

Dr. J: "... You should... ...already know."

Heero: "Hmph... Okay then."

Scene 8 Shenlong Gundam

Master Long: "Better to go ahead with Operation Meteor than let ourselves be disposed of... Then OZ and the Alliance will realize thier own folly."

WuFei: "All we have to do is defeat the enemies that need to be defeated!" {Runs out.}

Master Long: "WuFei, wait!"

WuFei: {Stops and faces Master Long.}

Master Long: "Take this with you."

WuFei: "What is it?"

Master Long: "If you're piloting Nataku to defeat the evils of the universe, then you'll need a few things first." {Holds out a box and reveals a dragon statue.} "This is Altron, the two-headed dragon our clan has own for generations. Selling it should help cover the cost of supplies and ammunition."

WuFei: "...Master."

Master Long: "Forgive me... That is all I can do for now."

WuFei: {Takes the box and bows as his master turns his back to him.} "..."

WuFei: "Let's go, Nataku! Let's finish this war!"

Scene 9 Gundam Sandrock

Instructor H: "Fight as your heart tells you to... And use the self-destruct device only when you feel you have to."

Quatre: {Climbs into the cockpit of the Gundam and begins to record his thoughts.} "Quatre here, sending my periodic update. I'm finally going to Earth. The descent point is LTA-8045. I'll be looking forward to seeing the Maganac Corps again... That's all." {Turns off the recorder.} "Wonder what they're doing now..."

Instructor H: "Quatre, I'm launching you now."

Quatre: "Roger!"

{Scene changes to the Winner Estate. Mr. Winner Approaches his desk and finds a note.}

Mr. Winner: "Hm?"

Note: War brings sorrow, but we must fight to protect our loved ones from the sorrow.

Mr. Winner: "Quatre...!" {Looks out the window, towards the sky.} "You fool Come back, Quatre! Quatre!"

{Quatre takes off.}

Scene 10 Gundam Heavyarms

Doktor S: "Very well. As of right now, you're Trowa Barton. We'll entrust Operation meteor to you."

Trowa: "So, here I am going back to Earth..."

Guy on COM link screen: "We're a special taskforce, sent by the Barton Foundation. We're to support you in Operation M."

Trowa: "..."

Guy on COM link screen: "Huh? Who are you?!"

{The ship blows up with the man and other people going "AAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"}

Trowa: "..." {Starts to type in data.}

Data: Operation M now under way. Acts of treason have occurred... Fleet eliminated. Operation M is a failure. Descending to Earth. Battle record 000 Recorder... Trowa Barton.

Scene 11 Deathscythe

Professor G: "Duo... Why don't you steal Deathscythe?"

Professor G: "Take it to Earth now. Just ignore Operation Meteor!"

Duo: {Sits in the cockpit of the Deathscythe.} "Heh. Easy enough to tell the Barton Foundation that it was stolen..."

Professor G: {From COM link screen.} "Congratulations, Duo. Now the Deathscythe is yours."

Duo: "Think I'm gonna thank you?"

Professor G: "Now here's your mission..."

Duo: "Huh?!"

Professor G: "Destroy the main motor in OZ's North American weapons factory. I'm sending you the map and the attack route.

Duo: "And what's in it for me?"

Professor G: "Nothing... No fool would pay the God of Death."

Duo: "Damn! Well if I'm Death, then you're Pestilence."

Professor G: "Heh... Your target is OZ... They destroyed the colonies' peace. This is our revenge."

Duo: "Then why not defeat them here, instead of going to Earth?"

Professor G: "Don't worry about the colonies, Get them before they get you. That's your mission."

Duo: "Okay, fine. I'd rather die than be ruled by OZ."

Scene 12 Wing Gundam

Dr. J: "It's finally time for Operation Meteor. After the failed attempt on Minister Darlian, we can assume the Alliance knows of the operation."

Heero: "But this is different from the true operation..."

Dr. J: "Yes... This is the operation you chose... But you'll be risking your life."

Heero: "Don't worry about me... Life comes cheap... Especially mine..."

Dr. J: "I'll contact you with targets and enemy information as necessary."

Heero: "Roger..."

Dr. J: "Otherwise carry out the operation on your own."

Heero: "Roger..."

Dr. J: "Then let's decide on a code name. I've borrowed the name of the pacifist colony leader... All right, Heero Yuy?"

Heero: "Understood..."

A.C. 195, April 7th

OZ Soldier #1: "Moving object confirmed at lagrange point AX, moving to the GY position."

OZ Soldier #2: "Zechs is in the atmosphere. Let him know wgat we found. It's probably just parts from an old satellite..."

Zechs: "I't here at last! The rebel will of outer space..."

{Civilain shuttle over the Earth going "Vroon".}

Minister Darlian: "What's the matter, Relena? Aren't you glad to be coming home to Earth?"

Relena: "No, not a bit..."

Narrator: "Operation Meteor." In a move to counter the Alliance's Tyranny, the rebel colony citizens plan to bring new weapons to the Earth, diguising them as shooting stars... However, the Alliance headquaters has caught on to this operation...
