PRAYER FOR OUR ELDERS
Wankatanka
We ask that you look down on our elders,
With kindness,with love,and grace,
Grant our wishes for our elders,
Who we value with all our hearts,
Within our tribes soul,
Where they have taken theit place,
They heve taught us our ways,
Our means of unity and our traditions,
When we stray from that path,
Our elders give us their admonitions,
With just their being,
They have rendered their hearts to us,
To this tribe in general,
We have and always will,
Put our tribes elderly,
In the arches of uniqueness,
It is what has made them vernerable,
What i ask,Wankantanka,
Is no way a small favor of you,
Everything you have given to us,
Our life, our world, our traditions,
We know these to be great and true,
But Wankantanka,smile upon their hearts
Their joy,vision and wisdom,
Everything that makes them elder,
Because without them to guide us,Thru our hardships,to share their experiences
would make this tribe falter
