I lie peacefully like a bird
with my wings resting
filled with a free-spirited heart
quenching for thirst and hunger
with my legs resting
clasped together
with my heart resting
to assist my fellow birds
by nurturing them
by healing them
into the waters
guide them on their journeys
with my beck resting
thinking about what words
I might say
as I lie peacefully
I become like a bird.
