The North Central Area Agency on Aging (NCAAA) is a regional non-profit organization based in Hartford that provides planning and management of funding and advocacy for services to older persons and their caregivers in the 38-town North Central Connecticut region. The agency is a vital part of the aging services network in the State, working with planning agencies, advocacy groups, and private-sector organizations.

Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for older adults in the 38-town North Central Connecticut region by ensuring that they have access to quality and cost effective services.

The Agency was established in 1974 pursuant to a mandate of the Older Americans Act of 1965, as amended, and in accordance with the requirements of the Connecticut Department of Social Services/Elderly Services Division. NCAAA is one of five Area Agencies on Aging in the state and more than 650 in the country.
