This is such a sad case of pure abandonment. Poor Mr. Snerdly was found in a run down shack and hadn't had any food or water for nearly two weeks. He was in a tank barely bigger than he is with rotted vegetation, fruit flys, and a thick piece of glass covering the top. How in the world he survived, I don't know. Pretty tough if you ask me! He has signs of MBD in the snout area. His Dewlap is ragged from being torn at some point. Most of his toes are broken. On the other hand, this little guy is full of spunk and has lot's of life left. He has taken to his new pad beautifully. I estimate him to be 18 months to two years. He is a little scrawny at the moment, but with a few months of TLC he'll be fattened up in no time. I'm working on the taming part. He is a little hard to handle but we're working on that. If you are interested in adopting him eventually, you can contact me at the email address on the index page. Update: Mr. Snerdly was adopted out in November of 2003. |
