It has been discovered that water stimulates Iguanas to use the potty. Therefore, it is possible to potty train your Iguana.
It requires consistency, time and effort. Be patient. Every Iguana is different and not all are easily trained.
We trained ours by starting at a very young age. I bathe him every day and at the same time, where possible.
Fill your tub a few inches, depending on the size of your Iguana, with luke-warm water. The water should come just below his shoulders, allowing him to relax. It may take weeks, but eventually he will start using the bathroom.
Have a large container (litterbox or rubbermaid) with a few inches of water  in his enclosure and soon he will become acustomed to using that as well, thus alieviating messy clean-up. Once he learns to go in the water you can begin putting paper towells or newspaper in instead. This makes for easier clean-up. Be sure to rinse and disinfect the tub along with his container.
GOOD LUCK!
