Answers

1.  when I installed-- PSP didn't actually change your files, but it did change your file associations (i.e. Windows 95/98 associates the file extension (html, doc, jpeg, gif, doc, xls, etc.) on your file with a program so when you double click on a file the program that the file is associated with or created with automatically opens. Double click an html file your browser will open; double click on a doc file, Word opens; double click on a xls file, Excel opens, etc.). You can remove the PSP associations by going to File > Preferences > File Format Associations and removing the checkmarks from the file types that you don't want to associate with PSP. Unfortunately, this does not restore your original associations. To associate a file type with a program Right click your Start button and select Explore. Navigate to a folder that has a gif or a jpg file in it. Hold down your Shift Key and Right click the file. Select Open With from the menu. In the Open With dialog box find the program that you want to view or manipulate the file with and select it, then check the box that says Always use this program to open this type of file and click ok.

2.  HELP! MY PSP 7/8- Clean that Register! This is information received from a Jasc Technician. *Please Note: You will have to reset any changes you made to your tool bars and may have to reset your preferences. As PSP7 is used more and more, the register builds up and problems start to occur, such as tool bars disappearing, ants disappearing, etc. The way to clean your register is simple and usually cures the above type problems.

1. Hold two fingers directly over the Ctrl and Alt keys.
2. Click on your PSP icon and IMMEDIATELY hit those keys.
3. As windows appear, click yes then okay.

4. Click on your animated sig, then go to Edit, Select All. Right click on the animated sig and select copy.
