Toshiya and All That Glitters

“Don’t touch me!!!!” Shinya pushed the slim arm away and walked away from the older man. Kaoru gasped and tried to catch up, “Shinya wait!!!!”

“Get lost!!!” Shinya yelled

“Hey! Listen to me!!!” Kaoru pushed and held his shoulders, “Shinya!”

“You used me!!!”

“I did not!!!”

“You Knew Toshiya would be there!”

“NO!!!” Kaoru yelled back frustratedly and gripped on both Shinya’s shoulders, “Listen to me here!” he hissed and shook the thin body, “I didn’t know Toshiya would turn up that evening! And I’m definitely NOT using you to get back at him!!!” Kaoru stated firmly and stared at the pretty boy.

“Shinya…when you told me…that you wanted me to be your first time…” he stopped and studied Shinya’s face. He waited a while, wanting to make sure that Shinya knew he was being very serious. The drummer finally stopped moving and looked at him instead. Kaoru took a deep breath.

“I never felt so flattered”

Shinya looked at him doubtfully

“I mean it” Kaoru squeezed the shoulders

“I felt very honored”

He could see honesty in those pair of eyes, he could see the genuine care…

Shinya nodded

Kaoru smiled and let go

“You didn’t tell us you fell”

Shinya made no response

“Shinya?”

Kaoru looked at him weirdly, waiting for him to response. Shinya rubbed his arms as if he was cold and walked few steps away from the older man. The guitarist joined his eyebrows.

“That’s it?”

“You don’t even talk about Toshiya!” Shinya exclaimed in disbelief, “How could you say…?” he looked as Kaoru turned away and took another deep breath.

“I don’t want to talk about him” Kaoru stated firmly

“Kaoru kun!!!”

“Shinchan, please…” Kaoru sighed and walked away. The drummer bit his lip and decided to follow, “Matte!” he exclaimed and pulled Kaoru’s arm. The older one winced.

“Kaoru kun! You were being so mean! How could you say that to him?!”

The other man held his arm and put it down, smiling calmly

“Please”

The door bell rang again and again and again and Kyo cursed loudly and when he opened the door ---

“What @#^&*(O_)&%#!”

Die stared at him weirdly but walked in anyway.

“Good to see you to Kyo -ko”

Kyo slammed the door shut

“Fuck Kyo!!!!! Cant you be nice to the door?!!!” a yell was heard from the living room and Die looked surprise to see Toshiya there, sitting on the couch smoking a cigarette. He widened his eyes as the red head appeared smiling awkwardly to him. He sat up straight and stubbed the ashes away, “Hey…” he greeted and Die greeted back. Kyo walked pass them and muttered “Bitch”

Die’s jaw dropped

Toshiya snorted and smoked, “They were fucking and I wouldn’t be bothered to open the door” the boy muttered and shrugged. The red head looked shock and looked toward the direction where Kyo was heading. Somebody peered from behind the door and Die thought he saw Kirito blushing a little for a quick second. Again, the door was slammed close and Toshiya chuckled.

“Sit down…”

Die did so, sitting opposite Toshiya

The red head watched as Toshiya offered him. He shook his head and touched his own throat, “I’ve been smoking too much these days, but thanks” he smiled apologetically and Toshiya threw him a pity look. There was an awkward silence to Die, but Toshiya seemed nonchalant. The older man cleared his throat and looked at Toshiya

“I’m sorry”

“You’d better be”

“I really AM”

Toshiya gave Die a look and smiled to him, “Don’t worry Die, it seemed like something you would do…so you’re forgiven” he laughed. The red head looked confused, “What do you mean?” he tilted his head to a side. Toshiya chuckled loudly and leaned back on the couch, crossing his slender legs that were clad in tight jeans.

“I meant, I expected something like that from you”

“Oh…”

“Yeah. I knew you well enough to know what you are really like. I had always trusted my judgment” Toshiya took a puff and stubbed the cigarette o the ash tray before dusting off some ashes that was on his jeans. Die watched, still, in confusion

“But I told myself that I might be wrong, and I WAS wrong ….” Toshiya took a deep breath and stared at Die

“I’m not that good in judging people”

Die felt nervous being stared like that

If Kaoru thought that you sleeping with Die was like being betrayed, go and tell Die Kaoru fuck his Shinchan

Toshiya smiled

Toshiya stood up and the other guy watched as Toshiya placed himself beside him

There was the stare again

Die wasn’t like that

“Toshiya?”

The taller one blinked and turned away, “Yeah…wanna go out for a drink?” he offered and took another stick out from the pack. However Die held his hands and put the slim thing back into its place. He looked at Die and pouted.

“Don’t smoke too much”

reminded him of some certain bitch

Toshiya shoved the hand away and lit up the cig. Die could only suppress a sigh and shrugged. He leaned back on the couch and Toshiya smiled as he heard the door opened and Kyo walked out with only his boxers on, looking contended but still slightly pissed.

Die hid a smile

Kyo glared murderously

Toshiya threw his head back laughing

“Shut up Toshi! And YOU!” he pointed at Die, who tried to look innocent. Kyo put up the hard glare still, “If you have ever interrupted me the way you just did again, you’d wish you’d never been born!”

Die laughed

“Oh, my sooo scared!” Toshiya moaned

Kyo sighed and walked toward the dining room table where he had previously put his bag. He took out a CD and few pieces of paper and then walked back to the living room, where the other two were. Toshiya raised an eyebrow and Die sat up straight.

“What is that?”

“This is our next single”

“Oh” Toshiya murmured enthusiastically

Kyo put it on the table, “Since I’m the one doing remix for the previous one, I have the right to decide who is gonna do the mix for this one” he stated firmly. Die nodded to himself and Toshiya shrugged.

Kyo smiled

“Totchi”

Toshiya rolled his eyes

“No”

“Yes”

“No I don’t want to!”

“Oh, yes you do, Totchi!”

Toshiya glared at him, “What makes you think I want to do this?” he asked, annoyed. Die looked at Kyo, waiting.

“Tai you no Ao”

Die widened his eyes and looked at Toshiya, who suddenly looked so surprised.

Kyo was still smiling

“Do it”

Toshiya stared at the CD

“It’s about the sun that sets in Kaoru’s heart”

Kyo said and walked back into his room

Die looked at Toshiya and looked at the CD, then back at Toshiya again. The younger one had no expression at all on his face. But Die could feel the aura. Die could sense the emotion building up from within the body. He wanted to say something but seeing Toshiya’s cold expression, he changed his mind and got up instead.

“I best be going”

There was no reply

Kaoru drew the curtains open and sat in front of it, holding an acoustic guitar. He looked up and stared at the dark sky, the gloomy sky. It was drizzling and cold. He had just taken his shower and had just washed his hair so it was left untie, letting it dried on its own.

His fingers moved unconsciously and they picked the strings slowly. Kaoru stared at the sky while his fingers produced a melody. So sad, …yet so beautiful.

Where was the moon?

The stars…where were they?

Kaoru rocked his body back and front, rhyming with the slow beat of the tune he was playing and he started to hum softly. Then he shut his eyes and lifted his head up.

The window was undoubtedly thick, but he could feel the drizzle that fell from the sky right on his cheeks

It felt so cold

Kaoru’s fingers kept playing and picking the strings, while he let the sad tune filled his aching soul and the soft noise breaking the silence of the room
