Jasc/Corel's Paint Shop Pro.

Tube of Choice  -  For this tutorial, I used a delightful image created by Suzanne Woolcott.  You can purchase her wonderful art in tube and full form at AMI which stands for Artistic Minds, Inc.

Accessories- While You Were Out Template (WYO) and telephone animation.

Favorite texture (either PSP, texturizer filters, Filters Unlimited 2 or any other type texture you like).

Optional Extras - If you wish to use add some optional scrap elements, you can.

Please remember, when creating your signature tags, to only use permission art and to apply the copyright information on the tag.  If  you have purchased a commercial image, do add your license number as well.

**When creating your Signature tags with Paint Shop Pro, do remember to save continually.  Nothing worse than to use up your memory resources and lose everything!**

CREATING THE TAG

Step 1

Open up the While. You Were Out (WYO) template.

Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and flood fill with a color that will work well with the color of the telephone animation.

Step 2

Apply a texture to the flood filled layer.  Once applied, go to Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom.

Go to Layers/Merge/Merge (All) flatten.

Step 3

Go to Image/Add Borders.  When the border selection window opens up, select your border color, symmetric and border width 3.

Step 4

Left click the text tool and set your text to floating.  At the material palette, set the top color box to null (no color) and the bottom color box to black.  In the top area of the tag fill in your text as follows:  Message for: The Name of the Person who is receiving the tag,  From:  Name of the Artist and web site address (only if the material there is not adult), License No:  If using licensed art,  and in the boxes - type in an X  for those you want to use.

Step 5

Go to Layers/New Raster Layer. Open your tube graphic and make it active.  Go to Edit/Copy.  Make the tag image active and go to Edit/Paste as New Layer.  If the image is too large, go to Image/Resize using the percent option, bicubic and resize all layers NOT checked.  Left click the mover tool and place the image where you want it but do leave room for the telephone animation.

Step 6

Go to Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten) and save as a psp or psd file.  We will add the telephone animation in Animation Shop.  Click here to continue.
