The Magickal Implements of the Golden Dawn are very ornate and stigmatic towards accommodating the mental faculties so that you may work to the desired purpose at hand. The mere ability to craft such an implement is by no means a point to overlook when assessing the presence of the love and devotion to the Magickal Arts within the Magician. To the left we have the Caduceus Wand of the Kerux traditionally held by Hermes or the Archangel Raphael. We presently recognize this as the symbol of our modern healers, Doctors. For good reason this symbol and wand is given due credit in our mainstream society. The black snake of the Pillar of Jachin and the white snake of the Pillar of Boaz swirl in their double-helix form representing the balance and the mixture of lifeforce, the Pillars being the extremes and the weights that bring the balance to lifeforce neccessary to enable life itself. The scientific representation leads us to DNA. This mysterious ladder is at the forefront of science as we speak and holds keys to unspeakable human potential. The Kundalini is at home with this wand and the wings surmounted upon the implement fortells of what we achieve when we have harnassed this raw sexually derived power. Our health is directly related to the coiled snake that regenerates or destroys us akin to the raw power in the earth. Acquiring the knowledge and wisdom of this implement and it's use is primary in understanding the nature of Magick. For with this symbol lies our revered Tree of Life as well as the forces to contend with when climbing the Tree itself. ~ Mazohir ~ |
