Use a clean, dark glass bottle, add essential oils first, swirling to blend; then the carrier oils. Cover the bottle and roll between your palms to blend. Then uncap the bottles and add the herbs and crystals. Label the bottle with the Name of the Oil; the date; Moon phase; and Sign, with waterproof acid-free ink. The bottles may be decorated with ribbon, sigils, etc., to represent the Sabbat, or use the oil is intended for.
* Be sure to clean, clear and charge all crystals and herbs before adding them to the finished oil. You can use one of the following methods to do this: Saltwater bath, and then place in the moonlight or sunlight for the crystals. For the herbs, charge them in the moonlight or the sunlight, and be sure to harvest them in the correct moon phase.
**Here is a tip for the crystals, If you wish to try this method, it works quite well, and gives you more use of your crystals: With a metal nail file, file the crystals into a powder and add the powder to your oils, instead of the whole crystal. Or, buy the inexpensive crystal chip pieces of jewelry such as a necklace or bracelet. The chips are usually small enough to fit in the oil bottles.

There is no magic secret for blending and mixing magical oils. Here's
the basic method:
*Assemble the essential oils (and bouquets) called for in the recipe.
* In a clean, sterilized glass jar, add 1/8 cup of one of the following
vegetable oils:
Safflower;Almond;Sunflower;Hazelnut;Coconut;Grape seed;Apricot Kernel; or Jojoba
I've found jojoba is the best to use, because it isn't truly an oil but
a liquid form of wax. It never becomes rancid and can be kept for
longer periods of time.
*Using an eyedropper or the convenient single-drop dispensers, which are
included in virtually every bottle of true essential oil; add the
essential oils in the proportions recommended in the recipe.
*Swirl the essential oils into the base oil, don't stir. Gently rotate
the oil clockwise.
*Finally, store all oils away from heat, light, and moisture (not in the
bathroom) in airtight, opaque or dark-colored glass bottles. Label and
keep for use.

What you need:
2 dram (10mL) clean amber or cobalt vial
Add the essential oils to the bottle and swirl them gently in order to get them blended. Add any crystals (make sure they are clean too) and then add your base oil to top the bottle off. I don't use crystals in all my blends but some people add crystals to their magical blends to keep them charged with a specific intention. Make sure to keep the oils stored away from light and write on a sticker or piece of paper to be taped on the name of the
blend, time, date, moon phase, planetary hour and any other info you wish so that you know what you made and when for use later. As well, be careful, as these blends will eventually go off so use your sniffer and be aware of what the blend should smell like. Once it seems off, you can discard it, clean the bottle and start a fresh! Make sure it is completely clean and if it cannot be completely cleaned, discard and use a fresh one.
Remember - essential oils can cause reactions and oils like citrus can cause photosensitivity so please - be careful ~ Herbs can be dangerous. Essential oils are volatile so bottles left with tops off will soon lose their potency. Ensure that oils don't get too hot and, in the case of oils like citrus-based oils, not too cold. To test your essential oils to see if they are pure, put a drop or two on blotter paper. Genuine essential oils will evaporate completely.

For Women who wish to become more attractive (absolutely magnetic) to men, wear this oil. On Friday night blend together jasmine, red rose, a drop of lavender (no more!) a bit of musk, and ylang-ylang oils. This oil should only be worn by women who are wishing to attract men.
The secret craft of the wise; Magical Herbalism By: Scott Cunningham.
Make this mixture on Friday evening when the moon is waxing, gather a little ground orris root, an earthen bowl, and a quantity of pure olive oil, if you are a woman also have a vial of jasmine oil; patchouli will do for men.
Lay a pink cloth on the altar, Light pink candles, pour the orris root into the earthen bowl, then add about 1/2 a cup of olive oil, stir with the forefinger of your strong hand seven times clockwise, now add the essential oil, no less than three drops, no more than seven.
Place the bowl on the altar, gaze into it, infusing the oil with your desire for love, and enchant it by saying: love, love, love, love, love, love, and love.
Simple, but to the point, right? You might want to substitute a favorite love poem or sonnet, pour the oil into a jar and cork it tightly, leave in a dark space, surrounded by pink altar cloth, for seven days, upon the next Friday night, uncork the bottle, strain and then strain, and then store in the same bottle until needed. Love oil should only be worn by the creator.

3 drops Palma Rosa
A famous controversial oil, there are several variations in the recipe, but all are very earthy and passionate fragrances. The man who wears this should be prepared for anything!
Start with a base of musk and patchouli; add cinnamon, carnation and vanilla oils. Blend and add until the scent seems right for you. Blend on Tuesday. this oil should only be worn by men, it does not always smell great but it works as an aphrodisiac and the results can be quite amazing!
The secret craft of the wise; Magical Herbalism By: Scott Cunningham.
A Handfasting is a witch's wedding ceremony; this oil however, can be used by any couple regardless of their marital status. It is one of the few magical oils that contain a dried herb mixed in with the essences. This is often given to witch couples on the evening of their Handfasting. The formula:
Gardenia- for peace and harmony
Blend together (using eyedropper, a drop at a time.) until the scent seems perfect, make up two ounces or so, then add one pinch dried yarrow, yarrow is used in love and marriage spells since it has the power to keep a couple together for seven years, seven is the number of Venus, the planet of love. When finished, pour into twin crystal jars, one is given to the woman, the other to the man, for seven nights the couple should anoint each other, using their own jars, then the oils should be blended together, poured into one of the jars, and the other jar should be hidden in some secret place.

Within the three days prior to the actual full moon, but not after!
Gather the ingredients required, along with a pestle and mortar to
blend them in. If desired, you can use your cauldron, and some sort
of crushing or mixing tool.
1 ounce (about 30 grams) of the finest sandalwood powder you can find
(santalum album)
5 grams (a marble sized nugget) of amber resin. (NOT the stone! The
soft, sweet smelling resin that is often imported from India,
available at health food stores, and of course herb and Witch shops.)
3 drops of vanilla essential oil. (NOT the perfume or fragrance oil,
only true vanilla from the orchid [Vanilla planifolia or Vanilla
aromatica] If this is cost prohibitive or unavailable, use real
vanilla extract available at most any grocery store.)
Preferably outside, under the actual full moon, or indoors near a
window where the moon is visible: Fill the mortar or cauldron with
the sandalwood powder, and crush the amber into it with the pestle or
tool of your choice.
Use CLOCKWISE or DEOSIL blending motions. Focus on the energy of the
full moon, or if you are making the incense for a specific spell,
focus on the goal of that spell alone. You can incorporate your
favorite words of power or chant while doing this.
When the powder is smooth and consistent, add the vanilla, one-drop
at a time while saying your chosen words of power, (which is best) or
the following (which will suffice in most cases): Drop of moon, grant
my boon.
Blend in the drops in the same way you blended in the amber resin.
Place the mixture in a clear glass jar with an airtight lid. Keep it
away from heat, sunlight, and moisture. Charge it under the light of
the full moon on the three days prior to it becoming actually full.
The full moon light penetration is the reason for not storing this in
an opaque jar. It is ready for use immediately, but can be charged
more if desired.
3 Drops essential oil of Orange (sweet)
Blend oils as below and add dried zest of orange, lemon, or lime.
Also add one of the following to enhance the power of the oil:
Aquamarine, blue calcite, or salt.

Here's what you'll need:
90mL of grape seed oil
Mix these oils by candlelight on the night of the maiden full moon in a
cobalt blue bottle. Now store in a dark place away from natural sunlight and
shake gently every morning and evening for the 3 days of the full moon. When
ready to use, first apply a small amount to the inside of your elbow and wait
24 hours to check for reactions. Then if it is safe, apply a small amount to the soles of your feet and lie back and relax. Use whatever method you prefer to prepare to astral travel and while you prepare, the mixture will be doing its work.
Keep this mix away from your eyes nose, mouth and other sensitive areas of
your body. Do *not* ingest this mixture, use for cooking or massage. As this
mixture contains oils with contraindications; I suggest that you avoid using
this mix if you are pregnant or have high blood pressure.

This recipe was contributed by Straif Blackthorn, a professional
aromatherapist and witch of over 15 years. She has combined her knowledge of
plants and essential oils plus her techniques for making pure skin care
products to bring you this recipe. The books sited above represent only a
small number of those which were referred to in order to create this recipe.
In the early morning sunrise off the night of a waxing moon, in a clear glass container with a cork stopper, mix one part virgin olive oil and a dash of musk oil.
Hold this mixture high to the rising sun and speak the following words of anointment aloud:
"Clean, cool moon, bring us forth into the purifying fire of the golden sun. Bless this oil that it may be used to anoint any and all that it shall be placed upon. Consecrate this oil into the sacred circle of life. Empower this oil that it may anoint and empower."
Over the next two consecutive dawns, repeat the process of holding the oil high to the sun and speaking the words of anointment.
On the fourth consecutive dawn, add a dash of frankincense oil to your mixture and again hold the bottle of oil high to the sun and speak aloud the words of anointment.
The Anointing Oil is now ready to be used. It should be stored in a well-lit area and should remain sealed at all times except when being used.

This oil was a formulation that I have been using for the last 2 years to
combat clinical depression and it works wonders. I have also discovered that
it acts as an aphrodisiac too, but it attracts only positive people. :) Isn't
that neat?
In a 2 dram amber or cobalt bottle add:
3 drops Lemon Verbena Oil
While you are mixing the oils chant:
Blues blues go away
Use this oil when you are feeling depressed. Rose has anti-depressant
properties that are quite powerful. Rose will help your brain produce
L-Tryptophan which is then converted to 5-hydroxy-Tryptophan and is then
converted to the neurotransmitter Serotonin, a brain chemical your brain needs
to help you function properly. The Lemon Verbena and Lemon Grass oils have
energizing properties that also make you feel good.

Hazelnut oil for softer skin:
Due to its light consistency, hazelnut oil deeply penetrates and
softens the skin.
Cinnamon-leaf oil for strengthening:
The essential oil produced from the leaves and twigs of the cinnamon
tree helps to strengthen connective tissue and stimulate blood flow.
Juniper and Rosemary oils for circulation:
Both juniper and rosemary oils are stimulating and refreshing. They
help increase circulation, decongest sluggish and under-active tissues and
stimulate the body's metabolism.
Citrus oils for astringency:
Lemon, lime and grapefruit essential oils have a potent astringent
effect. They strengthen the capillaries, tighten skin tissue and reduce
water retention in cells. Since they also increase the circulation, they prevent
lymph accumulation. Orange oil is slightly less astringent, but it has the
same general properties and is gentler on the skin. It also has a calming
effect.
Jojoba oil as a preservative:
Though jojoba oil is expensive, it doesn't go rancid, and even helps
preserve other oils; it also makes them easier to apply. Jojoba oil softens
skin and balances sebum production.

These fragrance oils are relatively inexpensive, however you should

Here is a simple method for making your own true amber oil at home. The result will likely be a nicer and more natural amber oil than you are likely to find in any store. We say this because most amber oils are a simple blend of essential and/or synthetic fragrance oils. These types of blends are easy to make and inexpensive but lacking in depth and the subtle euphoric quality of
a true amber oil. Depending on the ingredients used these types of oils can also be quite irritating to one's sense of smell.
To make 8 ounces of a true amber oil you will need:
60 grams of Eden Botanicals' Amber Essence
Chop the amber into small pieces with a strong knife (a cleaver works best), and place in a quart size canning jar. Place the lid on the jar and let it sit for at least a couple of months in a dark place. You can stir or swish the jar every once in a while. The oils in the amber will slowly diffuse into the vegetable oil. After a few months strain the oil through a piece of clean cotton muslin cloth. The result will be a fresh smelling, true amber oil that you can use as is or as a base for your own massage oil, body oil, or
natural perfume blends.
If you don't want to wait a few months as suggested in the above recipe, you may speed the process by heating the oil as follows. Once you add the vegetable oil to the amber, place in a double boiler and heat over very low heat until the amber pieces dissolve. Stir the oil frequently and do not heat over 100 degrees F. When the amber pieces dissolve, remove from heat and let cool until the oil begins to thicken (as the amber will start to recrystallize). Pour though the muslin and let sit overnight, then strain again.

ROSE oil is very expensive - but not that tough to make - give it a try! Here are 2 ways, the oil way and the alcohol way.
The Oil Way:
Making rose oil yourself is a relatively simple process. If you don't know what rose oil is for then, you probably don't need to make it. This is the recipe or formula for the process. Any necessary ritual, you will have to provide since this dissertation is not meant to supplant your path but to add to your scientific knowledge. As like attracts like; soaking leaves and petals in oil will extract the oil of those leaves and petals.
*In a clean glass crock, pour in one half cup extra virgin olive oil.
The Alcohol way:
Another option, particularly suited for human consumption, is solvent distillation. In this method an alcohol is used to extract the essential oils from the plant. Leaves and petals (and sometimes thorns) are use for Magical purposes. DON'T USE RUBBING ALCOHOL!
* In one cup of UN-flavored Vodka (or other denatured alcohol)
This is not the easier of the two methods put does deliver a nearly pure essential oil. Remember, one ounce of Rose Oil is a lot of Rose Oil.
Here are a few blends to try on those restless nights.
# 1 Insomnia- Nightmares Wake You
# 2 Insomnia- Noise Wakes You
# 3 Insomnia-Restlessness
# 4 Insomnia-Fitfulness
# 5 Insomnia-Anxiety
#6 Insomnia-Worry
# 7 Insomnia-Exhaustion
How to use:
1. Add up to 10 drops of a blend in a warm bath
2. Use in a diffuser.
3. Add blend to 1 oz. carrier oil and use for massage.
4. Place 1-2 drops on a cotton ball and place under your pillow.
