NortheastIron kicked off its first time trial of the 2007 season at summit points shenandoah curcuit. The shenandaoh track was run in the typical emra race configuration without the carousel for the first time.
Mike Drake took the top spot with a 1:31.21 timed lap setting the first time trial record for this curcuit. New comer Eric Bellows was fighting a loose car and then had fuel leak issues putting the car on the trailer for the day. Eric borrowed Doug Bellows ride for the timed run. Doug, another new member, ran a 1:35.09 timed lap beating brother Erics 1:38.29 lap. George Abbale had car trouble and did not make the timed run. Team Mohr was on hand using the event as practice. Mohr, Drake and Abbale were running together most of the day trading positions and having fun.
Coming up next is the Pocono South time trial May 5th.
