NortheastIron hit the pavement at Pocono north september 8th 2007. The competition was tight in both the race and time trial series.
Bill Headley was the man to beat yet again. A 59.490 qualifying lap gave him the pole and the new lap record. Frank Rossi was on his bumper though with a 59.559 qualifier. Mohr, Watson, and Lownik rounded out the qualifying with a 1:00.384, 1:00.570 and 1:05.267 respectively. The start was a bit crazy as Mohr got the jump on Rossi and took second. Headley was out front and never looked back. After a few laps Rossi retook second from Mohr in the brake zone slowing Mohr enough for Watson to get on his rear bumper. Watson kept the pressure on Mohr for several more laps until Mohr got loose getting onto the high bank allowing Watson to get by under him. Mohr retook third that same lap with a nice cross over move on the high bank. Watson however wasn't done and took third away from Mohr for the final time in the brake zone only 2 turns later. Watson started to reel in Rossi but lap traffic got in the way. At the checkered Headley claimed the win followed by Rossi, Watson, Mohr and Lownik.
