Sir aka "Woogie" was one of the most intelligent Danes we have ever had in 25 years. He could actually open doors, including unlocking a slide bolt lock to Samantha's room, freeing her and himself on a few occasions!
Sir was very loving, sweet, and protective of his people.
Sir as taken by bloat after he had a minor surgical repair for ripped tissue on his left upper leg. The stress of the event and the fact that his bowels had not re-started after the anesthesia from the surgical repair led to his demise. He was a Dane that always stressed about situations in the house and was very sensitive.
We raced him to the vet after it was apparent he wasn't just having stomach upset only for him to pass in my arms after we arrived within 10 minutes.
