Formerly known as
Imperial Airways and Excite Airlines, Northwestern Airlines has many years of
design and ideas behind it.

When I design my
airlines I just can’t stick with one paintjob usually! I get bored so I paint many different schemes
on my aircraft! Very similar to when
WESTERN PACIFIC would repaint some of their aircraft with advertisements.
The Northwestern Airlines
livery was formed in September 2006 after many years of designs by the overall
coordinator, me, Gary R. Tinnes. After flying through many designs and airline
names I finally ended up with an airline livery that looks very similar to the
old NWA paint scheme from the 80’s. Being
a fan of retro paintjobs and realizing that all liveries can look somewhat
like, I decided to revive the old look of commercial aviation during times when
it was much more pleasing to fly.
