Anything

He walked from the scene, letting a single tear escape from his eye. She had told him the truth, she did not love him back, yet she knew not of his desire for her. All she wanted was to leave this planet, which he was about to just do. His heart was in pieces, his soul was shaken, and his head hurt. He powered up and flew the rest of the way home, the only thing visible to him was her face.

He landed at the door, took out his keys and unlocked it. He walked in, only to see Bra, with Uubu sitting next to her. It made him ache even more to see them, him not being able to be as happy as they were. She turned around and smiled at her brother, waving. He looked at her with a scowl on his face, his eyes shining with the pain he was in. He shrugged and walked upstairs to his room. He got dressed properly for bed and walked across the hall to the bathroom. In there was that blonde that SHE was talking to. The girl smiled and stepped out, her brilliant green eyes flashing. Trunks guessed that she was staying the night. After brushing his teeth with a little more extra force than usual, he went into his room and collapsed on the bed, immediately falling into unconsciousness.

Pan was ecstatic. She was away from the Milky Way galaxy now, and was ever so happy that she was gone. Her heart thumped excitedly as she watched the stars go by. Trunks had helped her so much, and she was very grateful. She sat in the bedroom, looking at the family picture that was taken 5 years before, when she was only twenty. She was standing nest to Bra, Marron, Goten, and Trunks. He had his hands on her shoulders, and he looked quite happy. That was the only picture she had of everyone all together. She had noticed him blushing earlier while they were decorating the ship, but she acted as if she had not. She also noticed the unhappy look in his eyes right before she took off. Was he unhappy that she had told him that he could not come? Or was it something else? She doubted the second one. She went back to gazing at the passing planets and galaxies.

Vegeta walked into his son’s room, looking forward to a good spar. But when he walked in he saw his son was still asleep. He was annoyed by this, until he saw something. Trunks’ eyes were red and puffy, and there was a damp spot where tears must have fallen. That made Vegeta curious. He walked over, his feet almost making no audible sound. He then tapped his son on the shoulder, making him stir from the dream he was having.

Trunks awakened to his father’s scowling face. He wondered why his father was staring at him like that, but then he noticed the damp spot underneath his head. He looked and sure enough the sheets there were darker than the rest. He looked back up at his father with an embarrassed look gracing his features. Vegeta finally spoke.

“Why have you been boobing?” he asked emotionlessly.

“I didn’t know I was, nor do I have a reason,” Trunks stated.

“You have a reason, tell me, or you will get a beating,” his father threatened.

“Fine, I was crushed by someone last night, and I mean emotionally crushed, not physically,” Trunks admitted.

“Hmmmm, Pan rejected you?” Trunks face faulted. “I knew about your bond with her since she was born, you have been connected to her for a long while.”

“But she doesn’t even know how I feel yet, she just said something to make me ache for her,” Trunks grumbled. Vegeta nodded.

“I see. Why have you not told her?” he said, trying to hide the worry for his son.

“Last night what she said meant that she didn’t feel the same way,” Trunks was about to break down again, thinking of her and her words.

“Ok, well, see you in 5 minutes at breakfast.”

“Yeah.”

Bra was worried about her brother. He had so much hurt shining in his eyes, that scared her. His eyes had never shown anything like that. Uubu and her friend were staying the night, and both had reported the same thing. It was right after Pan’s party, which gave them suspicions. She was in the bathroom and had just heard the conversation that her father and he had. She was in shock. Pan, of all people, had crushed him emotionally. Her father said he was bonded to her, so Trunks most likely in love with her, but Pan had no idea. She said something but she didn’t know what. She decided to call her.

She picked up the phone and dialed Pan’s number. She got four rings, then she heard the most shocking thing in her life, the recording.

“This is the residence of Son Pan, please leave a message after the tone. I am off in space exploring the universe, so I will get back to you when I can. BEEP.”

Bra hung up the phone, eyes wide. She ran to her mother, yelling. Her mother was in the lab, working on a new product. She took off her hat and looked in the direction of her daughter, rushing down the stairs.

“Mother, mother! Pan is in space! How did she get a ship to travel in? Tell me now!” her daughter wheezed breathlessly. Her mother smiled as a chuckle escaped her rosy lips. Bra gave her a curious look.

“I know she is, hun. Your brother built it for her for her birthday,” Bulma stated clearly.

The little blonde girl was doing her business while Trunks was eating and training. She searched through his room, careful not to disturb anything. Then she found what she was looking for, his journal. She quietly went to Bra’s room and waited. Bra walked in, looking bewildered. The blonde smiled.

“Here it is, the journal. I found it,” she said. Bra smiled, knowing that the truth was hidden in this little book. They turned it to the last page with writing. They gasped at what the saw.

Today was the worst day I have ever had. Pan’s party was today and I showed her the ship I built. She was thankful. She even gave me a hug for it, and a peck on the cheek. I was thankful when she didn’t notice me blush, she was turned around at the time. Well, after I helped her get settled into the ship, I asked her if she would let me come. The answer was devastating: I would let you, but We are only friends, right? That was the time my heart shattered. Well I am going to bed now, goodnight.

“Here is the proof, he loves her. I can’t believe he loves her,” Bra said wiping a tear from her eye. Her friend did the same.

“Why doesn’t Pan love him back though? Isn’t he the most eligible bachelor in the world?” she said.

“Pan hasn’t realized her feelings yet, that’s why.”

Pan was prancing around her ship, giggling the entire way. She had just eaten, and there was enough food to feed a full blood Saiyan for a year. That meant that it would last her quite a while. She did not eat very much, she was too excited about it. She went into the control room and found the phone thing that was included in this magnificent ship. The dialed her number and found no messages. She decided to call her savior, Trunks. The phone rang twice before his secretary picked up.

“Capsule Corporation, how may I help you?” the high pitched voice said.

“I need to talk to president Trunks, tell him that this is very important, I cannot do this everyday,” Pan spoke urgently.

“I will tell him that, hold please,” the voice answered. Pan was waiting only for a few minutes before she heard his familiar voice.

“Capsule Corporation, president Trunks speaking,” Trunks said in a business like tone. He heard giggling at the other end of the line. He was getting frustrated.

“I have important things to do ma’am, I don’t have the time for your giggle fits,” he said in a partially annoyed tone. The giggling stopped, but the voice was the one of his, Pan’s voice.

“I am sorry, Trunks, but it was funny hearing you like that,” she said, stifling her laughter.

“Pan? Is that you? Why did you call?” he said, trying to hide any pain from his voice.

“I was getting lonely, here all alone, I needed someone to talk to and you’re the only one who understands that,” she said.

“I see,” he was trying now to hold back the memories of the previous night.

“Are you busy? I will call later if you want,” she said.

“Oh no I am not busy at all. So, when are you visiting again?” he asked politely.

“In about a year, I want to actually do some exploring before I come home,” she said to him.

“Oh, ok I see, so you will be coming to visit again?” he asked.

“Who am I to break a promise?” she giggled.

“Wonderful, see ya then,” he stated.

“Ok, bye now!” she said in a happy tone.

“Bye,” he said and he hung up. Suddenly, without warning, making him feel worse, tears came. She sounded happy when she said goodbye to him. Was she happy that she didn’t have to talk to him? Or was she just excited? He suspected the first one. Finally, only one more tear made its way down his smooth cheek, dropping carelessly onto the desk. His soul had ruptured, and he was bleeding from there too. He could almost see the wisps of white make its way out of him. He almost laughed at the irony of the situation. It was almost like the time Pan had told him the same thing when her ex, Doug, left her, shattered her heart, and ruptured her soul. She had told him that she almost saw little strips of white leave her tiny body. He then heard a knock at the door, when he yelled for whoever to come in, he heard the door creak open and some footsteps on the soft carpet. He looked up to see his sister, who looked a little shaken. He motioned her to be seated.

“I know about you,” was all she said.

“What do you mean by that?” he asked.

“I mean you and Pan, I was in the restroom when you were talking with dad, and I heard,” she stated. His eyes grew wide, as a hue of crimson gave way on his face.

“Why were you listening?” his voice was harsh.

“You scowled at me before you went to bed, and I got worried,” she started, “so I couldn’t help but listen to what you and father were talking about. All of us are worried about you, Trunks, we don’t want you to get hurt!”

“I won’t get hurt, does it even matter what my personal life is?” he almost yelled.

“Because I care,” she said in a very calm voice. He looked at her, his expression unreadable. She was right and she knew it, she always did. She smirked and left. He sat there, looking puzzled with a glaze over his eyes. Then he came to, and began his daily routine.

ONE YEAR LATER...........

Pan was on her way to earth to keep her promise to her best friend. She had now been to 6 planets, and was ready to visit earth again. She hoped everyone wouldn’t know that she was coming, if they did, she would have to stay, until they left her alone. They all knew she was in the universe somewhere, but not exactly where. Bulma and Bra had gotten into it too, and they wanted to see her as well. So they had a small meeting place. She was twenty minutes from Earth, and she was getting more and more excited. She stopped playing Free Cell on her computer and shut it off. She was 5 minutes from Earth now. She watched the sun come into view, she was 3 minutes until arrival. She fastened her seatbelt, she was 2 minutes away from landing. She closed her eyes calmly, she was now entering the atmosphere. With a shaky landing, the hit the ground where her meeting was, leaving a crater. Trunks was already there, and she had arrived an hour early. She smiled while slowly fiddling with her seatbelt, finally getting it loose. She pressed the button to open the door, which went agonizingly slow for her taste. She had not had any human contact in a year. She walked off the ship, and hugged Trunks, whispering in his ear, making him shiver.

“Hey, bud,” she started, “how have you been?”

“Not as good as usual,” he stated. She frowned. “I have missed you so much Panny-chan.”

“I have missed you too Trunks-kun,” she said happily. She was so close, he was thinking, and she had gained a few nice curves, too many new seductive curves. He wanted to just get one little kiss from her, but he didn’t want her to hate him for it. He finally gave into his urges and spoke to her.

“Don’t hate me for doing this,” he quietly murmured, just before he bent in his head to kiss her. Their lips brushed at first, and then they united with more force. Then everything hit her. She loved him, and he loved her back. She cautiously slid her arms around his neck, as he put his arms around her waist. As the kiss grew fiercer, so did the lust. Just before they got any farther, Bulma’s squeal of excitement was heard. Bra was right behind her, running, when they came into view. Bulma looked at Pan with adoration and love in her eyes. Then she said her words.

“When is the wedding?!?” She yelled happily.

“Eh-heh,” was all either of them could stammer.

“Good, let’s go have it, then Trunks I order you to go with her.” she commanded. The new couple blushed heavily, following her.

“It’s not like I am going to say anything to anyone,” she said slyly, making the two go even more crimson. They got into her huge van, and they took off to a small chapel where no one obviously went. After that was finished, they went back to the ship. Bra looked up at the married couple. She smiled.

“Remember, I want nieces and nephews!” she hollered to them as they got on. The two laughed and nodded. They stepped on the ship, and waved as the ship took off, leaving the two blue-haired women to converse.

“Wow,” Trunks stated in wonder.

“Beautiful, isn’t it?” she quizzed, leaning on his shoulder.

“Not as beautiful as you are, my love,” he huskily said.

“Oh?” she said, giggling. He bent in for his kiss, and she accepted happily, his kisses were so tasty now to her. After that they went into the bedroom.

11 MONTHS LATER.......

Pan was again awakened by a small cry by her bed. She looked down lovingly at her little one, Alicia, who had given her a new perspective of life. That little one was the reason she lived now. She picked up her little one and softly sang to her, making the crying cease.

“You don’t want to wake daddy do you?” she said softly to the chubby baby, who was now gurgling happily.

“Too late,” came a groggy voice on the other side of the bed. Pan turned around and smiled. she was in paradise, her husband by her side, and a little baby, happily smiling on her shoulder. Now she knew what Trunks meant during her pregnancy by saying that he would do anything for her.

The End
