| Parents of Tracy, this issue is in your hands. If we all sit around and wait for someone else to do something. If we all make excuses and do nothing, then we will have no one to blame when all the schools in town are converted to MTYRS and YRS. Please do not be fooled as we were thinking that we would be able to escape YRS. We have created this page as a place where you can go and get information about the wrong headed notion of YRS and MTYRS. This education form results in a academically damaged school system and fractured family life Summer is a time for Discovery, Families, Friendship and growth, Kids need this time We need more, Traditional K-8 Schools in Tracy. Not Gimmicks,smoke and Mirrors. Once they get all the Elementary schools on to YRE, do you think it will stop there? Middle and High school will be next. It is happening in other places. We are not alone in this issue Our sources have advised us that Williams Middle School and Monte Vista are next on the MTYRE Target list. We have learned that the TUSD has quietly obtained the agreement of the staff of South school to convert South to a Single track YRS school. This despite no evidence that YRS increases scores . It is a personal crusade of a "Visionary " Superindent. More like a nghtmare. Parents you must speak out and be heard. Your Parents and Grand Parents spoke up for you when you were kids, protected you, guided you. It is now your turn to be the one standing up for your kids, setting the right example for them. Leadership is getting out in front and putting others needs ahead of yourself Parents, it is your turn and the Future of Education in Tracy is in your hands. By stopping MTYRS at Louis Bohn you have begun the rollback of MTYRS and YRS all over Tracy. This is something worth fighting for. If 50 or 100 parents show up at a school board meeting, they will know we don't want this for our kids.
