Novmeber 20, 2004 - History is Made
The Cuddy North Stars made history last week competing in their first ever NPHL action.  The results were not that great but just playing the game was important.  The North Stars had 4 out of 6 of their players make their first apperence as a North Star.  Cuddy's first game of the round robin was against the McHenry Massive.  The Massive scored a few quick goals but Shamus Carr was able to score on a pass from Joe Pietracatello that was tapped to him by Anthony Tornabene.  Carr later added anther goal in the game when he Carr blasted it by the Massive goalie.  Patrick Chaussard let up 8 goals in 8-2 loss.  The North Stars then played the Fox Chapel Falcons who had two players from the Kennedy Predators who helped them alot.  Shamus Carr scored early in the game for his third goal of the day that gave Cuddy a 1-0 lead.  The game turned down hill after that as the tired North Stars struggled to get any more goals and played poorly on defense.  To start the third P. Chaussard was pulled and replaced by Pietractello who let up three goals.  The Stars were able to add a goal late it the game when Stefan Chaussard moved the puck up to Patrick Chaussard and he slid a wrist shot behind the Fox Chapel goalie.  The final was 8-2.  Cuddy did not make it to the playoffs that McHenry won.
