Europe is a place of wonders on its own. For one thing there is the food. Europe has invented so many foods, we can't even count them. From pasta to french fries to bull's eyes.
Europe is also a place of wonderful history. It is where Christopher Colombus began his voyage to the new world. It is where Kings and Queens ruled. It is where Alexander the Great ruled. It is where the Olympics began. Europe is also a place of great sadness. The Holocaust, the World Wars, the potatoe famine. It had some of the worst and greatest people. Europe is also where many of the immigrants came from to go to America.
Europe, or at least Great Britain are also the U.S.'s allies in the World Wars and the fight against terrorism.
Europe today is still a wonderful place to visit. The buildings of Athens, Greece still stand, a memory of the greatness in the past. The food, and the places to visit. The accents, Europe as many wonders within it, but together they make Europe a land of wonders. |
