Welcome to the (almost) official Oak Harbor Concerts website. This websource will always be under construction, meaning that there will always be updates and features added/dropped as needed. The aim of this page is different than other web sources for many reasons, but the most important difference is the simple fact that there isn't a "leader" or "boss" that can dictate the content displayed. A rudimentary system of checks and balances had taken form the moment the forum was created when the old site shut down. The person who has access to modify the message board does not have the means to alter the actual website, and while the webmaster can add text and buttons, change the background color and add links he cannot, in any way, make even the slightest change to what happens on the message board. The two resources are independent of the other, keeping the scene out of the hands of a single power-hungry denizen that happened to slap together a webpage (not that this is the case with our webmaster...).
With the goal in mind and a general understanding as to what the Oak Harbor Website is all about, the site still works like the next site where you can zero into what you're searching for by clicking the links below. The busiest section of the site would undoubtably be the "Forum", or the main message board where you can read and post messages with little, if any, limitation as to the type of content available. This is the perfect place to introduce yourself, ask a question or to stay on top of news from the local scene. "Links" should be pretty self-explanatory. "Reviews" is a section where local artists' material is placed under the mercy of anyone with a few minutes who wishes to share their thoughts about a song, CD or even show. "Shows" is another forum dedicated to the listing of future showdates. It doubles as a record of past shows for those interested. The "IOOF Map" (a basic road map showing where, in Oak Harbor, the place is) and the "Guestbook" links are available for you to check out. I highly doubt either section will require written instructions to use, but if I'm wrong, there's always help in the Forum.
That said, I hope you find this website useful and would like to have you stop by again. Info is updated, though not quite as often as desired so chew slowly for now. When time is found to make necessary (and some not) updates, updates will be made. (If you are interested in maintaining the OHC site, post in the Forum) Well, kids, have at it.
