Who We Are |
We are the Oakland County K-9 4-H Club. We are the oldest 4-H Club in Oakland County. We have been around for more than 45 years and meet in Auburn Hills, MI. This club was created to educate children and teenagers about dog care and training. Currently we have about 30 active members and dogs. Our club puts on dog shows every year. One in July and the other in November. We usually give the profits to a Humane Society or Leader Dogs for the Blind. We have six leaders: Linda, Bev, Pat, Nancy, Anna, and Larry. You could find an answer about anything dog related between them. Our club participates in parades, nursing home visits, dogs shows, demonstrations, etc. Our club enjoys doing obedeince, showmanship, freestyle, flyball, agility, Leader Dog and Service Dog Puppies, and a lot more. To join our club please contact your local 4-H office to get phone numbers to call. (we can't post them on the web) New members are welcome every year in March, where a group demonstration is given and from there you can decide if you want your child to join or not. This is a great group of 4-Hers and the ages range from 9 to 19! It is a great experience and a lot of fun! Please feel free to look around our webpage! |
