What an opportunity of a life-time!  No words can express how excited we were when Willow Run offered us their Oberhasli show string including the 2003 and 2004 National Champion and Best Udder herself! Many thanks to Patti Dean and Bill Woodard for making this happen. Hassida in our opinion is the finest example of an Oberhasli we have seen.  She excels on all areas of the score card and carries a fabulous mammary system.  We feel that this doe is of the caliber to compete with any breed on a National level and are thrilled to add her to our breeding program. We are very excited about her future progeny and her influence on the Oberhasli breed..   Update! Hassida's daughter Havoc was the high selling 2005 Spotlight Sale kid topping $4800!! Hassida herself is looking as good as ever..

SGCH FDF Pleasant Fields Remote, 2004 Reserve National Champion and Reserve Best Udder (5 years of age)
Affectionately known as "Mo", this is a doe that puts it all together. Mo has never been defeated in her show career on the local show circuit as either a Jr. or a Sr. and has been BOB every time she was shown as a Sr. doe. In addition to a great show record, Mo also scored FS 90 VEEE on LA as a 5 year old and her DHI records show that not only does she have a beautiful mammary system, it is one that also milks. At the 2003 District 3 Oberhasli Specialty, Mo was Best of Breed and Best Udder of Breed, 1st place Dam and Daughter (with her daughter Devonshire Sigourney), as well as part of the 1st place Senior Get of Sire and 1st place Dairy Herd. Mo is one of those special does that just shows herself and has an eye-catching presence that takes your breath away. Always a favorite in our barn, we are thrilled to be able to announce that she is the 2004 Reserve National Champion and Reserve Best Udder. We have been so pleased with this beautiful doe and can't thank Farrell enough for giving us the opportunity to own her.

Sequoia has proven to be everything that we hoped she would be. As a young doe, she was always eye-catching in the showring and now as a milker she is just stunning. One of our first Khan daughters and the first one to freshen, we are extremely pleased to see a mammary very similar to that of her paternal grandmother Niki. High and wide in the rear with lots of attachment all the way around and a fore-udder that is smooth and well extended, Sequoia was our "up and comer" in the showring this past year picking up 2 milking legs in the spring and her final leg in the fall in an AOP class where (as the ONLY Oberhasli in an AOP class of Obers and Toggs) she went GCH, BOB and BUOB! In addition, this is a doe that has an incredibly sweet disposition.

It's always a pleasure when a breeding that you had high hopes for turns out to be everything you wanted and this one is a good example. The first set of kids sired by Devonshire RK Ridley (the first son that our Reserve National Champion SGCH FDF Pleasant Fields Remote) here at Devonshire Farm was a pair of twin doe kids in an off-season breeding to GCH One Oak Hill Julep (dam to our 2003 Spotlight Sale consignment). Jena freshened in Jan 2006 with a well attached mammary system that is high and wide in the rear and smooth and well-extended in the fore. She then proceeded to prove herself in both the showring and the milkroom by finishing her permanent Championship in her first 3 shows out as a senior milker and by completing the necessary DHIR requirements for advanced registry. We are looking foward to seeing this doe freshen for the second time and getting her back into the showring. We hope that she will be much like her dam and grand-dam with a long productive and very competitive future ahead of her.
