You know 'em, you love 'em, yes here they are, CHEAT CODES!!!!!!
NOTE: Only type the stuff in red. As far as I know, these are not case-sensitive (meaning, it doesn't matter if the caps lock is on or not).
DESCENT SHAREWARE
GABBAGABBAHEY-- cheats enabled; you have to type this one before any other ones.
RACERX-- invulnerability. Makes your ship impossible to destroy.
GUILE-- cloak, makes your ship nearly invisible and homing eapons can't lock on to you. This code, unfortunately, works for only 30 seconds at a time.
TWILIGHT-- recharges shields to 100.
FARMERJOE-- warp level.
DESCENT v1.0
All of the above, plus these.
BUGGIN-- Turbo mode, makes everything about twice the normal speed.
BRUIN-- extra life.
BIGRED-- all weapons.
FLASH-- Type this and a whole bunch of energy spheres will pop up and form a path to the exit door.
DESCENT v1.4 and above
Alll of the above, plus these.
AHIMSA-- turns off enemy firing.
BIOPSYTOYS-- blows the reactor immediately.
POBOYS-- also blows the reacotr immediately.
ASTRAL-- ghost mode, go through doors, grates, etc, but not walls.
PORGYS-- Wow. This code gives you: All primarys, 200 concussions, 200 homings, 200 prox bombs, 40 smart missiles and 40 mega missiles. Also makes all weapons fire faster.
LUNACY-- turns the difficulty up to insane, but the robots fire less frequently than they normally do in insane mode.
PLETCHxxx-- makes the robot texture #xxx where xxx is any 3-digit number from 001 to 999.
Usage: If you wanted to set the robot textures to 295, you would type PLETCH295, then shoot a robot to set the texture. All robots will be set to texture 295 after this, but you will have to shoot them to paint them. Like I said, xxx is any number from 001 to 999; type 999 to turn robot painting off.
