My style is flexible. Whenever possible I like a mixture of traditional, fine art, and some photojournalism. Often the events, and timing of the day determine my style, and very much effect the special moments readily available to be captured. In other words if I have only 15 min. as apposed to 45 minutes time to photograph a couple, a more traditional approach might be the best route to take, simply because there's litttle time for anything else. A rushed couple and wedding party are not going to present great candid moments if they're under pressure - a more relaxed couple and party will. Of course I play this by ear. Most of the images that I am proud of are of couples who were more relaxed, readily available on their wedding day, and allowed themselves to enjoy the day. When a couple chooses a package that offers my services for a given amount of time, it's important that the couple remember to make themselves available to me as soon as possible on the wedding day. When a bride or groom is stressed early on in the day, this obviously will not make for great photos. This is why we (Occasions Photography) are always on time ourselves. It makes sense that a more relaxed bride and/or groom will photograph better. We've seen couples stressed over various aspects of their wedding day, (for example a hemline coming loose on the gown, etc.) It is very important for a bride, and/or groom to remind themselves to count on loved ones around them, and try to simply enjoy the day to the best of their ability. |
