The Culprit: U.S. Health and Discount 1785 East Sahara Ave #440 Las Vegas, Nevada 89104 1-800-374-4782 (this is only an answering service that does not give out information.) The person calling people identifies himself as "Larry". The "Deal": For $299, payable by Visa, MasterCard or check, the company will pay 89% of the subscriber's total medical costs, including prescriptions, medical, surgical, dental, ear & eye. When questioned, "Larry" has told people that he is too busy to give more details and will give them additional information when he receives their money. |

| The CMS Atlanta Regional Office has reported that it received an
inquiry from a beneficiary asking if CMS had authorized anyone to go
door-to-door to discuss the Medicare Approved Drug Discount Card. The
Regional Office also reports that the Medicare contractors have received calls from beneficiaries asking the same question. According to the report, the person going door-to-door possesses specific information about the beneficiary. Please notify staff and volunteers that if they should get similar questions, they should indicate that there are currently no Medicare Approved Drug Discount Card sponsors, and that when Medicare does approve a card, the sponsor will be using an approved Medicare seal. |
