It's been two years since the Federation and its allies drove back the dominion invasion of the Alpha Quadrant. Thought the Quadrant is still recovering from the devastation brought about the war.
The Federation has found its self still trying to recover from both the war and the Borg invasion. While still playing the role of: Alpha Quadrant peacekeepers. The Federation has found that; they will half to use a great deal of the strength, and power they have at had to keep the stability and peace in the Quadrant. But then there are those in the Quadrant who would jump at the chance, and those how feel that the time is right to reinsert their position of power within the quadrant.
Both the Klingon and Romulan Empire know that the smell of death sweeps across the Quadrant when they mention the great Federation.
Due to the fact that every power in the Quadrant has challenged the power of the Federation. The Romulan Empire, as - well the Klingons' see signs that the Federation is struggling to keep its hold on the Quadrant. Even the Federation Council it's self-feels the noose tightening around their necks. Due to the great losses that the Federation had taken from the war, with the loss of Star-bases, ships and much of their recourse. The federation has held peace talks with both the Romulans and Klingons, only to be deceived by the two powers. Unknown to the Federation they have joined in an unholy alliance bent on destroying the Federation, and the complete ratification of the human race. To show their true power
But out of the past comes new hope for the Federation
