The Federation Darkstar Empire is an off shot of the United Federation of Planets. A group of people who left the Federation in 2200 this exodus was in rebellion agents the Federation. thirty-six thousand Dark Force members decided to leave the Federation, and colonized on three planets called: Ko35, Cyane, and Eve in the Ko system in the Beta Quadrant. The Federation allowed the group of people, to take nine Federation ships that were to be decommissioned but were given to the Newly founded group now calling themselves the Federation Darkstar Empire.
The Darkstar people are a passionate and aggressive people known for their stealth and cunning in combat and have made them selves the only human group in the Alpha and Beta Quadrant to be known as equal warriors and honorable to that of the Klingons. Their violent and aggressive nature has made them an interstellar power to be respected. The Governing body of the Darkstar Empire is the Darkstar Council. They have a large military presence in the uncharted space in both the Beta and Alpha Quadrant. The Dark Force prefer waiting and observing while others make the first move, this has made them successful in both battles and space exploration.
In 2299 a civil war broke out within the Empire between the planets Ko35 and Cyane many ships along with there crews were lost, but no matter how hard the Faction fought they were pushed into surrendering after six months. They have had run in's with the Romulans over the years, and had captured over thirty Romulan ships.
The Federation Darkstar Empire have advanced well beyond Federation science, medical, and also technologic due to an encounter with a Borg cube that was abandoned and heavily damaged on Stardate 43872.2, four years before the Federation. The Darkstar Empire then up-loaded thousands of kilo-quads of information on different races and some of their technologies from all four Quadrants. They also took the cube, and studied its technologies, and it's strengths, and weaknesses as a precaution if they ever ran into the Borg.
In 2373 the Dominion forces tried an invasion of the Darkstar Empire but their attempt were useless because The Federation Darkstar Empire used their own Poleron technology agents the Dominion Forces and destroyed their fleet. As to the Dominion's surprised the Dark Force ships shield were more advanced and unaffected by the Dominions' Poleron weapon's, and no damage was inflicted a pond the outer hull or ships systems.
