Matthew’s is a strong willed man, who is vary out going and enjoys his work, he also is a dedicated officer who is not afraid to take chances to protect his Captain. Back when he was a Cadet in the Dark Forces he flew a shuttlecraft into a Plasma Storm in the Badlands to loose a Klingon Bird of Pray. Reports from the Klingon High Council said - that one of their ships was reported missing, later it was confirmed destroyed. Earlier in his career Matthew's was a teacher, for cadet training at Dark Force Academy for three years. His talents both in Weapons and investigative skills are unmatched by any other.
Other studies included Science, Math, Arts and literature, and singing. Lt. Matthew’s for fun enjoys - Holodeck Programs, Horseback riding, Fishing, Camping, dancing, playing the trumpet, Kick boxing, and swimming. When Lt. Ryan Matthew’s was 8 years old he learned how to ride a horse, forced by his parents he then learned to enjoy horseback. At the age of 10 he started to learn swing dancing, tap, Mambo, the fox trot, and the Tango. When he was in High School he was on the school swim team. Exeter as an Ensign from 2374 - 2376, he then was transferred to the U.S.S. Odyssey and promoted to Lieutenant on Stardate 2377.
