What is Depression to Me
 

It's loneliness
It's heart ache
It's failure
 

It's like one room
It's like walls closing in on me
It's tears falling down cheeks
It's hands shaking
It's like no hope

It's like screaming
Yet no one can hear
It's like wanting to reach out
But, scared to

It's sleeping
Because knowing
Sleep requires no thoughts
No feelings

Dreaming
Cause I can dream a better tomorrow
Where the sun always shines
Where the valley our always so beautiful
It's where waters trickle
All is safe, All is perfect

Nothing seems to have answers
I get onto my knees
I put my hands in the air
Speaking words to a higher one

Please help me
I say

I am weak
I need a strength
Where I cannot find in myself

Depression is hard
It comes and it goes
It can strike at the weakest moment
And challenge your mind
Your every emotion

Inside the mind
I cannot find a way out
I give up

My insides say get help
Realize thy weakness
and say
I NEED HELP

Realizing it's okay to say
I'm not as strong as I thought I was
Someone help me

Then that light shoots to you
That light of hope
And with that light you begin to realize
There can be a better tomorrow
