A Light Now Shines

A light now shines,
Where two buildings stood.

Spirits floating around
This big empty spot.

Flower petals can still be smelled,
Tears can still be heard.

Echo's of anger, frustration, prayers.
 

Heart's still wounded, 
Soul's forever saddened, eyes forever misty.

A nation Under God,
Forever stronger, forever wiser.

A light now shines 
Where life's hopes and dreams once did.

Forever shall that light shine,
Deep in all our hearts.
