It's dripping again. All over my hands, my arms, down to my feet. Blood. Life.
It's spilling out of me.
It's the only thing that falls out of me. I can't even cry. I can't even feel. I am completely hollow, and your pain echoes inside me. It's so cold in here, just like the snow we're sitting on. I wish my insides were alike in purity. Now, come and look up with me. Can you see it falling? Can you hear the sound of snow falling? It reminds me of you, you sound the same, even right now. In the height of your suffering, you are just as silent. The words you left unspoken filled my blanks. You made me whole again, and now...
You vanish into the snow from which you came.
The white sky. The white snow. Your white dress.
Tainted with red. My blood. My life. My fault.
The scent of Hakubaiko (white cherry blossoms) doesn't fade however. It's just as strong under the snow as it is under the rain.
It's dripping out of me and I wish it would go inside of you, so you could come back to me. But I would not be worthy of it anyways. I can't even cry for you, this body doesn't hold anything anymore. The only tears I can shed of you are these, thick, crimson drops that taint your white perfect world. That destroys your scent, your existence. My clumsy fingers only smudge the mess even more. The cut that you made will make me fall into you even more. But it doesn't stop you from leaving me. My hands tremble as your body gives in. And my mouth quivers indecisively.
You left before I could tell you.

Ore wa kimi wo mamotte iru.

Red was the rain under which I met you; red is the ground in which I lost you.

Author's notes: Its sad, I know...but that's just how I get whenever I watch that scene in the RK OAV's, plus I'm listening to the soundtrack...*sigh* what can I say? I just hope someone likes it. Feedback is appreciated, thanks!
