Captain Hamilton's Company was mustered into service on May 2, 1832, the first such company to be organized in the Michigan Territory. The unit was mustered out on August 20, 1832.

Remarks:
1. Killed in ambush by a Kickapoo war-party at Spafford's Field, June 14, 1832.
2. Escaped the ambush at Spafford's Field.
3. Murdered by a Kickapoo war-party, June 16, 1832.
4. A survivor of the St. Vrain Massacre and veteran of the Battle of Pecatonica, June 16, 1832.
5. A survivor of the St. Vrain Massacre.
6. Harrison had his horse stolen by William Deveise just before the departure of Dodge's volunteers from Fort Hamilton, June 16, 1832.
