Richard Biggs is the son of a Air Force veteran. Growing up, he lived in numerous cities including Dayton, OH. He has four sisters. As he travels across the country promoting the BABYLON PROJECT, Rick uses proceeds from such appearances as the MARCON Sci-Fi conventions in Columbus, OH, to help support his sisters' organization, The Martin Luther King Community House. Located in Spokane, WA, this organization assists in the care of abused children.
Richard is an alumni of the University of Southern California, School of Theater. Having trained with the distinguished actor John Houseman, Rick has numerous theatrical credits. In an interview with America Online, Rick was asked, what the best advise he would give a young actor. His response was to do theater.
Personally, Rick considers himself a cameleon, as he is adaptable in
any situation. He enjoys traveling as B5 has afforded him the opportunity
to visit throughout the world. But I think he doesn't like the freeways
of LA very much. In several interviews I've read, he is always trying to
"beat the traffic". He loves the movies. It was once reported that in his
spare time, he has been known to watch several in a day's time. "Me too!"
As a writer, Rick is reportedly scripting a play about 4 little girls.
