Despite the relatively small number of Hebrew enabled computers around the world, nearly everything that can be prepared on the computer in English can be prepared in Hebrew.
However, this ability comes at a price. The system does work differently in Hebrew, and users don't always receive the anticipated results.
Those who work in a Hebrew/English computer environment have long realized that the general guidelines, the Help, the books, the support, and the instructions that relate to an English system do not necessarily deal with the person's needs in Hebrew. Similarly, programmers face problems when trying to force a right-to-left or bidirectional environment. Solutions that seem to work on the default platform, language, application, or routine don't always work properly in Hebrew.
How and where can you receive assistance when working in Hebrew? How can you consult with other experts in order to resolve these issues?
Hebrew Computing brings together all of the people, options, opportunities, and professionals in order to recommend solutions to these issues.
