Jewish Beginnings is not a proscriptive group. It is a information forum with people of good will, who ask questions in good faith.
As a result, Jewish Beginnings may sometimes raise questions or queries that do not necessarily represent the Jewish faith. This is because those who pose questions are either new to Judaism, or not yet Jewish.
This does not mean that Jewish Beginnings accepts the point of view presented in the question.
Some Jewish Beginnings subscribers who are familiar with Jewish law and who are more traditionally observant may question the propriety of these postings.
However, the postings are legitimate. They were placed by people who are searching for a correct Jewish response. Our discussions on Jewish Beginnings should ultimately lead to a traditional understanding of Judaism.
After all, the only way that people can understand issues properly is by asking questions - even if those questions do not initially represent a proper understanding of Judaism.
That's what Jewish Beginnings is all about.
